Biography
Jamie Savarese is an LGBTQ+ drama writer/director from Texas. She recently wrote, directed, and produced the short film There's Something I Have to Tell You, which premiered at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. Previously, she developed a satirical dark comedy Haze with UCP, and a queer coming-of-age feature Ciao Bella with Anonymous Content. She also served as a staff writer on Fox’s The Big Leap.
Her scripts have appeared on the Out Loud List (best unproduced TV pilots by queer writers) and the Love List (best unproduced romance scripts). Her work has also been recognized by the Black List x GM Incubator, the Black List To Be Commissioned Initiative, the Cannes Table Read Competition, and the Tony Cox Feature Competition at the Nantucket Film Festival. Jamie is currently developing a domestic thriller with ACE Entertainment and recently won Best Screenplay at B!tchFest Film Festival for her romance-thriller Everyone Is Welcome Here.
